The following message was received from the office of the General Conference President:
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Burundi,
We rejoice with you regarding the blessings God is providing to each of you in Burundi, to our Seventh-day Adventist Church in Burundi, and to the nation of Burundi. We are grateful for the good emphasis on religious liberty and freedom of conscience by the Burundi government. We are happy for the free access to worshiping God on Sabbath without any restrictions. We are happy for the blessings of the leadership of the Burundi Union as Enoch Ntunzwenimana, Dieudonné Nshirimana, and Daniel Buvagubusa provide spiritual and administrative direction for the evangelistic outreach in Burundi. Praise God for all these good developments and we are encouraged with this new day of evangelistic opportunity. We urge you to be unified in Christ and His precious Word as you proclaim the three angels’ messages of Revelation 14:6-12 and the message of the fourth angel of Revelation 18:1-4. Truly, Jesus is coming soon and what a privilege to be part of Total Member Involvement reaching out to others with the Advent message of hope and lifting up Christ in all we do.
Through the power of the Holy Spirit and your connection with heaven every day in Bible study, study of the Spirit of Prophecy, and prayer, allow God to use you to be a powerful witness to your family, your community, your region, and the entire country of Burundi. Let the Lord use you to help restore the ongoing Advent movement for unity and mission in Burundi. We have prayed for you and God has answered thousands of prayers on your behalf. Be part of bringing reconciliation and blessing to the church and the people of Burundi. As II Corinthians 5:18 tells us, “Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.” In verse 19, God commits to us “the word of reconciliation.” So, by God’s grace, be part of the ministry and word of reconciliation in Burundi……within the family, the church, the community, and the nation. Tell the God, “Yes, Lord, I Will Go” and share Your everlasting gospel and proclaim the good news that Christ is coming back soon to take us to be with Him forever. Pray for the latter rain of the Holy Spirit so God’s work will be finished in the hearts of all and we can go home to heaven with Him very soon!
Let us humble our hearts before the Lord so He can use us during these last days of earth’s history just before the return of Christ. We read this powerful sentence in the book, “Principles for Christian Leaders,” page 267, by Ellen G White: “Unless we humble our hearts before God, we shall not know His will.” May you do that today in Burundi and may God’s people do that around the world. Do not ever forget that you in Burundi are an important part of God’s worldwide church family looking forward to Christ’s soon coming.
May God encourage and bless you enormously in Burundi as you use your talents and gifts to build up God’s church and to share with your neighbors, friends, work associates, and relatives the good news God has given us to spread everywhere. May God bless your efforts in Total Member Involvement in Burundi as you lift up Christ, His Word, His righteousness, His sanctuary service, His saving power in the great controversy, His three angels’ messages, His health message, His last-day mission to the world including the need to plead for the latter rain of the Holy Spirit, and Christ’s soon second coming.
Be of good courage, my dear brothers and sisters in Burundi. Jesus is coming soon! What great news to share with everyone as you unite in God’s worldwide mission to reach everyone through you and the Lord’s people around the world with His love and promise of eternal life through the blood and grace of Jesus Christ. Maranatha!
With kind Christian regards and sincerely yours,
Ted N C Wilson
