Initiative connected with locals, provided health checks, and distributed literature.
From May 6 to 10, a Mongolia Mission team of nine dedicated individuals embarked on a mission to Dornod Province, the easternmost region in that Asian country. The Seventh-day Adventist team conducted a series of outreach activities to benefit the local population. Their unwavering dedication and hard work made the event highly fruitful, regional church leaders said.
Every morning, the team provided essential health check-ups to the local community. These check-ups played a crucial role in the early detection and prevention of health issues. Various health services were offered, including blood sugar level checks, intravenous therapy, visceral fat measurement using specialized equipment, foot reflexology massage, and guidance on healthy living. Two hundred and fifty people received valuable health advice and care from these health services.
During the day, the team actively distributed literature and visited various organizations to conduct training sessions. This effort included spreading awareness about the event and inviting people to the evening seminars. The team evangelized and invited new members to the church, handing out books and seminar invitations to people encountered on the streets. This initiative was seen as an excellent opportunity to attract new members to the church.
A seminar on the theme “Hope and Unity” was held each evening. These seminars aimed to foster a sense of community and provide spiritual encouragement. They were well-attended and left a lasting impact on the attendees.
A special program for children was organized, with 10-15 children participating daily. The program included craft activities, Bible stories and lessons tailored for children, praise songs, and interactive learning sessions. These activities were highly influential in engaging the children and imparting valuable lessons.
The team visited the homes of five former long-time church members, inviting them back to the church as part of the Total Member Involvement (TMI) Reclamation and Retention initiative. Member teams reported that those visits included praying together and fostering fellowship, giving the members a sense of being remembered and valued.
The team visited four organizations to conduct family and health seminars. “These well-received seminars provided vital information to the attendees, further enriching the evening meetings,” team members reported.
The outreach activities in Dornod Province were highly successful, regional church leaders said. “The diverse range of activities, from health check-ups to children’s programs and spiritual fellowship, significantly impacted the community,” they reported. “The team’s dedication and the positive response from the local population were genuinely encouraging. [This mission initiative] was a testament to the power of community and faith, demonstrating how collective efforts can lead to profound and positive changes in the lives of many.”
