Hundreds of young people meet in search of a deeper connection with God’s Word.
The highly anticipated 2024 Bible Quiz themed “How Can I Live Without You (the Bible)?” took place September 19-22 at R’Chai Seventh-day Adventist Church in Lam Dong Province, Vietnam. R’Chai is the largest Adventist congregation in Vietnam, hosting nearly a thousand members for Saturday (Sabbath) worship each week.
This vibrant church provided the perfect setting for the gathering of 500 young people, promoting friendship, spiritual growth, and a deeper connection with God’s Word. The event aimed to enhance participants’ biblical knowledge while encouraging them to renew their commitment to living by the Scriptures.
Each year, the contest provides a dynamic environment where young people are challenged to demonstrate their understanding of the Bible. The 2024 fellowship offered an opportunity not only for friendly Bible quiz learning but also for spiritual reflection and community building. Participants interacted with fellow believers from various churches, growing in their knowledge of Scripture and strengthening their personal faith journey.
Over the course of three days, the young contestants engaged in a series of group challenges and individual quizzes. These activities created an atmosphere of excitement and friendly competition, where participants not only tested their biblical knowledge but also learned valuable lessons in teamwork, perseverance, and unity. The event was not just about winning but about growing spiritually and fostering a sense of belonging within the church community.
In addition to the quiz rounds, the contest featured moments of worship and reflection. Jungtae Kim, ministerial secretary of the Adventist Church’s Vietnam Mission, delivered an inspiring message titled “What Does the Bible Say about the Sabbath?,” emphasizing the importance of rest, holiness, and the blessings of the seventh-day Sabbath. These worship experiences enriched the participants’ spiritual journeys and reminded them of the significance of God’s commandments in their daily lives.
At the conclusion of the event, top scorers were recognized and were awarded prizes for their exceptional biblical knowledge. However, the true success of the contest was reflected in the hearts of every participant, as each left with a renewed sense of purpose and a commitment to applying biblical principles to their everyday lives.
“It’s not just about memorizing Bible verses; it’s about letting God’s Word guide everything we do,” one participant shared. The event, which was notable for its large turnout and spirit of unity, will undoubtedly go down in history as a significant turning point in fostering youth spiritual development and preparing them to be witnesses of Christ’s love in the world.
