The Adventist Church mobilized to bring the book The Great Controversy to previously unreached people and places.
From March 16 to 23, the Bolivia Union Mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church mobilized the Impacto Esperanza (“Hope Impact”) program, distributing more than half a million copies of the book El Gran Conflicto (The Great Controversy) throughout the nation’s territory.
The South American Division’s Adventist Education department helped launch this activity by mobilizing students and teachers to distribute the books. In the city of Santa Cruz, students delivered the missionary book to the departmental commander of the police, as well as to all the personnel of that law enforcement institution.
In the city of La Paz, the books were distributed in the Callapa area, with the purpose of planting two churches there in the near future. Large rallies, parades, and motivational programs were organized in the different regions, reaching public schools and several municipal authorities.
From press conferences, visits to the media and authorities, mass programs, and delivering the books from house to house, each region implemented various strategies to disseminate the message and successfully distribute the books.
Commitment to the Initiative
The office staff from Bolivia Union Mission’s administrative headquarters traveled to Totora, a town where there is no Adventist presence, to deliver more than three thousand books with the purpose of planting a church in this municipality.
Elsewhere, in the southwestern region of the country, more than two thousand books were distributed in the town of Machacamarca by the office staff of the administrative headquarters of the city of El Alto.
The Nuevo Tiempo Bolivia media network, together with the communication departments of the various administrative headquarters in the country, publicized the event through radio, television, and social media networks, reporting on the events and their impact on the population.
In 2023 and 2024 alone, the Adventist Church in Bolivia has distributed more than one million copies of The Great Controversy, bringing a message of motivation and hope to Bolivian homes.
